Martinů's Muse

Prize-winning short about Czech composer

Shot in Czechia, Martinů 's Muse is a love letter to the Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů (1890-1959).

"This is wonderful!, I love it! Illustrates nicely the Martinu-esque Policka atmosphere, mingling with the IMC concert... bravo!"

In this short film Martinů 's muse revisits his birth town Policka and shares some insights in the mind of this great Czech emigré composer. This own work earned us a First Place (Documentary section) at the 5th iPhone Film Festival.

If you don't know Martinů 's music yet, his six symphonies composed in America are a good place to start.
